Thanksgiving & Black Friday

This last thursday and friday were both Thanksgiving and Black friday respectively. For those of you who don't know, Thanksgiving is a time where people get together with family and feast. On the other hand, Black friday is the busiest shopping day in the year.

During Thanksgiving, millions upon millions of turkeys are killed and cooked to be leathery and are very, very dry. What a waste. Other than that tragic detail, everything else is fine.

On Black Friday, there are some great sales at many stores. People get up at 3 in the morning on Thanksgiving so they can be one of the many thousands of people to wait in line early to get good deals. In addition, it is a dangerous situation. As some of you may have heard, someone was killed as a result of Black Friday deals. There was a huge crowd waiting outside of a store. The crowd cracked the windows and bent the doors trying tog get in early. When an unfortunate employee was nice enough to open the doors, the crowd then ran him over and he was trampled to death.

No one was willing to save his life and get to the sales one second later. It was like people thought that it was the end of the world or something. I get disgusted when things like this happen. It proves how self-centered humanity is. Everyone may have well just said, "Who cares about him. He's fine. As long as I get to save 50 cents that's all that matters!"

More about humanity another time, though. I hope all of you had a fantastic Thanksgiving.
